"You are what you eat", as is widely said. It means people eating much fat get fatty. Very alike, convincing evidence shows that "you are what you read". Right-wing people write right-wing papers. For what? on the one hand, for the freely expression of their own views, but on the other hand, probably more deliberately and importantly, for the effective influence of other people's views. A reader constantly exposed to such papers and media, I think, can hardly keep unaffected for long.
According to a recently paper on Guardian, newspapers in UK fall into right-wing group and left-wing group. Most, including The Times, belong to the former; Guardian is probably the only major influential daily newspaper that voices the views of left-wing people. The major cause, revealed in this paper, is that these media are controlled by right-wing people. Not for too long, I guess, we will see a somewhat mentally-reshaped reader population. Unhappy? To be rich first. A little money brings you more choices, and more money makes you capable of controlling more things.
